The mean of 6 numbers is 11. the first 4 numbers are 6,8,10,and 12 .find the last two numbers, if one of them is 2 more than the other. ​

Answer:

Let one number be x

Second number = 2+x

Mean = Sum of all observation/No. of Observations

11 = 6+8+10+12+x+(x+2)/6

11*6 = 38+2x

66 = 38+2x

2x = 66-38

2x = 28

x = 28/2 = 14

First number = x = 14

Second number = x+2 = 14+2 = 16
