Answer:

Answer⇒(a)13

Step-by-step explanation:

Mean= sum of observations÷number of observations

15= sum of observations÷6

Now if 2 is taken away from each number then a total of 6*2=12 would be taken away from the sum. Also for the mean to be 15 the original sum has to be 15*6=90. Now we have,

⇒mean= 90-12÷6

⇒mean= 78÷6

∴mean= 13

Answer:

(a)13

Step-by-step explanation:

MEAN IS CALLED AVERAGE OF ALL NUMBERS

= SUM OF ALL NUMBERS divide by NUMBER OF VALUES

IF 6 VALUES HAVE MEAN 15, SO BEFORE DIVIDING THE SUM OF ALL 6 VALUES IT MUST BE MEAN multiply by NUMBER OF VALUES

= 15 multiply by 6 = 90

AND QUESTION IS TO SUBTRACT 2 FROM EVERY VALUE , WHICH IS IF 2 IS SUBTRACTED FROM EVERY VALUE, TOTAL SUBTRACTION WILL BE = NUMBER OF VALUES multiply by HOW MUCH WILL BE SUBTRACTED FROM EVERY VALUE

= 6 multiply by 2 = 12

HENCE , TO TAKE OUT THE SUM OF ALL 6 VALUES AFTER SUBTRACTING WILL BE = SUM OF 6 VALUES - TOTAL SUBTRACTION = 90 - 12 = 78.

NOW TO TAKE OUT MEAN OF 78 , DIVIDE IT BY 6 = 78 DIVIDE BY 6= 13.
