The mean of 6 numbers is 18. If one number is
excluded their mean becomes 16. Find the

A/c given : (x+y )/ 6 = 18 - eqn 1

y/5 = 16 -eqn 2

From eqn2, we get y= 16*5= 80

Put y in eqn1, we get

(x+80)/6=18

=> x = 18*6-80 = 108-80 = 28

Thus ans is 28.
