the mean of 6 numbers is 24. If one number is excluded ,the mean of remaining numbers becomes 22. Find the excluded number

Mean =(Sum of All Observations)/(No. of

Observations)



Let the excluded number be x

then,


=(22+x)/6=24

=22+x=24×6

=22+x=144

=x=144-22

=x=122

That is the excluded number!!
