The mean of 6 numbers is 30. If one more number is included, the mean of new set of numbers increases by 2. Find the included number.​

Answer:

Let the nos. be a,b,c,d,e,f

According to the data....(a+b+c+d+e+f)/6 = 30..(i)

If one more no. is included...(a+b+c+d+e+f+g)/7 = 30 + 2= 32(ii)

g=?

From i a+b+c+d+e+f = 180....(iii)

And from ii a+b+c+d+e+f+g = 224......(iv)

Substituting iii in iv..we get

g = 44
