Hey there!!
Down here ⏬

☆ Observations : 8,5, x+1, 2, x, 10

☆ Mean = Sum of observations / No.of observations.

☆ Mean = 8+5+(x+1)+2+x+10/6 = 6
26+2x / 6 = 6
6×6 = 26+2x
36 = 26+2x
36 - 26 = 26x
10 = 2x
x = 5 (10/2)

☆ So, x = 5

Hope it helps!

Heya,

Mean = Sum of all observations / Total no.of observations

Observations = 8, 5, x+1, 2, x, 10

Mean = 6

Therefore,

6 = 8 + 5 + (x + 1) + 2 + x + 10/6
6 × 6 = 26 + 2x
36 = 26 + 2x
36 - 26 = 2x
10 = 2x
10/2 = x
5 = x

Hope my answer helps you :)
