The mean of 7, 9, x + 3, 12, 2x – 1 and 3 is 9. Find the value of x.

Given

(7+9+x+3+12+2x-1+3)/6=9

(33-3x)= 9*6

-3x= 54-33

x=21/-3

therefore, x= -7
