The mean of 7 cm, 15 cm, 12 cm, 5 cm, h cm and 13 cm is 10 cm. Find the value of h.
Sol.
M = sum of total variates/ no of total variates

7+15+12+5+hcm+ 13/ 6 = 10
52cm + hcm/6 = 10
52cm + hcm = 6×10
52cm + hcm = 60cm
hcm = 60 - 52
hcm = 8cm
h = 8. Ans.
