The mean of 8 numbers is 25. If one more number is included the mean of new set of numbers becomes 26. Find the new number

25 = sum of total observation / 8
sum of total ovservation before including another one = 25 × 8 = 200
Now, after including new number.
mean = sum of total observation / total number of observations.
26 = sum of total observation / 9
sum of total observation after including = 26 × 9 = 225.
so, new number which is included = sum of total observation after including - sum of total ovservation before including.
= 225 - 200 = 25 Ans
