Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Mean =  SUM OF ALL OBSERVATIONS /  NUMBER OF OBSERVATIONS.

27 = SUM OF ALL OBSERVATIONS / 8

SUM OF ALL OBSERVATIONS = 27*8 = 216

IF one more number is included then the mean becomes 26, this means,

26 = Sum of all 9 observations / 9

sum of all 9 observations = 26*9 = 234

so the new included number is = sum of new 9 observations - sum of old 8 observations.

so the new included number is = 234-216 = 18

so the answer is 18.

Please cross-check all the calculations, because I'm not at all good at calculations.

Answer:

18

Step-by-step explanation:

Mean of eight observation = 27

Sum of eight observation = 216

      One more number is included

Sum of nine observation = 234

        The included number = sum of 9 observation - sum of 8 obsrevation

                                            = 234 - 216

                                            = 18

                              Therefore ans = 18
