x+16 = 23
x = 23- 16
x = 7

Therefore,
Mean =( 9 + 14 + x + 16 + 7 + 18 )/6 = 11.5
= 64 + x/6 = 11.5
= 64 + x = 69
= x = 69 - 64
x = 5 Ans.
