The mean of (9+2x) , (2+x), (5+ 3x) and (7- x) is 6. Find x up to two decimals.

Answer:

mean = sum of all observation/ no. of all observation

6= (9+2x)+(2+x)+(5+3x)+(7-x)/4

6×4= 23+5x

24 = 23+5x

24-23=5x

1 = 5x

1/5 = x
