The mean of data is 9 if each observation is multiplied by 3 and then 1 is added to each result find the mean of new observation so obtained

Step-by-step explanation:

let the observation be x1,x2,x3 ........xn

so ,

9 = (x1 + x2 + x3 ...... xn)/ n

Now it is written that each observation is multiplied by 3 , so you have already studied that whatever changes we make in each observation it's mean is also changes in same way as their observation do

so , New mean = 9×3 = 27

And now each observation is added by 1 so it's mean will also be added by 1

Resultant mean = 27+1 = 28
