the mean of five number is 27. if one number is excluded , their mean is 26. Find the included number

(sum of five numbers)/5 = 27
(sum of five numbers)= 135
(sum of 4 numbers)/4 = 26
sum of 4 numbers = 104
the excluded number = 135-104 = 31

let the nos be x1,x2,x3,x4,x5
sum of these/5
= 27

therefor by cross multiplication
sum of the nos. = 27*5= 135

now let the excluded no be x5

thus,x1+x2+x3+x4/4=26
again by cross multiply
