sum of 100 ob. = 14×100 = 1400

new sum of ob. = 1400-57+27 = 1370

mean = 1370/100

= 13.7

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

mean=sum of observations/no.of observations

14=sum of observations/100

sum of observations=1400

in observations 27 was misread as 57

therefore 30 is excess in the sum of all observations

where as only 27 have to be added 57 is added (57-27=30)

1400-30=1370

sum of observations=1370

mean=1370/100

13.7
