Observations are 10 , 12 , 18 , 13 , x , 17
Mean = 15 ( given ) ------( 1 )
Mean = ( 10 + 12 + 18 + 13 + x + 17 ) / 6
= ( 70 + x )/6-------( 2 )
( 2 ) = ( 1 )
(70 + x ) / 6 = 15
70 + x = 15 × 6
70 + x = 90
x = 90 - 70
x = 20
Therefore ,
Value of x = 20
