Perimeter of first square = 4x
Perimeter of second square = 4y
Mean = (4x+4y) /2
= 2x + 2y
Perimeter of second square = 4y
Mean = (4x+4y) /2
= 2x + 2y

Mean of perimeters of two squares=(4x+4y)/2

=2(x+y)
