Perimeter of square = 4 × side
= 4 × x
= 4x
For side = y
Perimeter of square = 4 × side .
= 4 × y .
= 4y
Mean = Sum of observations / no. of observations
= 4x + 4y /2
= 4 ( x + y )/2
= 2 ( x + y ) .
