Let the number be x

mean of 9 numbers= 50

mean=450/9

mean=50

mean of 10 numbers= 55

m= sum of 10 numbers/10

55=450+x/10

55*10=450+x

x=550-450

x=100

Therefore, number= 100

Hope it helps!!!

<b>HELLO !

SOLUTION=
LET THE TOTAL SUM BE X

THE MEAN OF 10 NO. IS 55

WE KNOW THAT

MEANS=TOTAL SUM OF GIVEN NO./TOTAL NO.

SO,
X/10=55

X=10×55

X=550

SO TOTAL SUM OF NO. IS 550

AGAIN,

MEAN OF 1 NO. EXCLUDED IS "50"

SO, NOW TOTAL NO. IS "9"
LET THE NEW TOTAL SUM OF NEW MEAN BE "Y"

SO,
Y/9=50

Y=9×50

Y=450

SO NEW MEAN IS 450

NOW TO GET THE EXCLUDED NO.

SUBTRACT 550and 450

550-450

=100

SO THE EXCLUDED NO.IS 100
