The mean of the first 'n' terms is 'X'. If the first term is increased by 1 and the second by 2 and so on, then find the new mean.

therefore,mean=1+2+3+4+5÷5

=15÷5=3

If the given numbers added,

2+4+6+8+10

=30÷5=6

Therefore it will get double

So,the new mean=2X
