The value of p is 7.

Explanation:

As we know mean is nothing but the sum of the values of observations divided by the total number of observations

Given mean of x = 6

As per given question $\Sigma xy$ will be $6+8+18+10+2p+10 = 2p+52$

Also summation of $\Sigma y = 3+2+3+1+2 = 11$

So $\overline x = \frac{\Sigma xy}{\Sigma y} = 6$

So $\frac{2p+52}{11} =6$

$2p+52 = 66$

$2p = 14$

$p = 7$

Hence the value of the variable p is 7.
