Answer:

the mean of first 6 natural no is a.

therefore,

6×a=sum of numbers

6a=(1+2+3+4+5+6)

a=21/6

now, new condition

a+1 is the mean if no 3,2,7,8,6,5,b

therefore

mean=(sum of numbers)/(total no of observation)

a+1=(3+2+7+8+6+5+b)/7

21/6+1=(31+b)/7

27/6=(31+b)/7

189/6=31+b

b=189/6-31

b=3/6=1/2

now,the value of median is c for 3,2,7,8,6,1/2

arranging into ascending order we get,

1/2,2,3,6,7,8

median (c)=N/2=6/2=3rd term

therefore,c= 3 ans.
