The mean of the set of numbers 6, 3 , x , 4 , 3, 5 and y is given as 5. What is the value of x+y?

Answer:

(6+3+x+4+3+5+y)/7=5

(21+x+y)/7=5

21+x+y=5*7

x+y=35-21

x+y=14
