final mean = 12×2 = 24

let the data be a1,a2,a3
(a1+a2+a3)/3=12
a1+a2+a3=36 -------------> 1
given that data is doubled
so, (2a1+2a2+2a3)/3
=[2(a1+a2+a3)]/3
=2(36)/3
=2(12)
=24
mean of new data is 24
(a1+a2+a3)/3=12
a1+a2+a3=36 -------------> 1
given that data is doubled
so, (2a1+2a2+2a3)/3
=[2(a1+a2+a3)]/3
=2(36)/3
=2(12)
=24
mean of new data is 24
