The mean of x+8, x+6, x+4, x+2 and x is 24. Find the value of x.

we know that.....
mean = sum of all /no of terms
mean = (x+8+x+6+x+4+x+2+x) / 5
24= (5x+20) / 5
24*5 = 5x+20
120 = 5x+20
100 = 5x
X= 20
so X = 20
