total no. of observation = 100

mean of no. of observation = 60

jasmeen4: i dont understand
jasmeen4: plsss
Shreya2002: total no. of observation = 100

mean of no. of observation = 60

therefore, total sum of obs. = 60 X 100 = 6000

if one is replaced from 50 to 110 then,

total no. of obs - replaced no. = 6000 - 50 = 5950 (new sum of mean)

now, add replaced no. by new sum of mean i.e., 5950 + 110 = 6060 (new sum of new obs)

now, divide new sum by total no. of mean ie., 6060/60 = 101

hope this helps

Mean=sum of all observation /no of observation
60=sum of all observation /100
Sum of all observation =6000
Now 50is replaced by 110
So, here sum of all observation =6000+110-50
=5940
New mean=6060/100
=hence your new mean be 60.6 ans
