Here is your answer buddy,

0.08:x = x:0.32
=> x^2 = 0.08×0.32
=> x^2 = 8/100 × 32/100
=> x^2 = 8×32/10000
=> x^2 = 256/10000
=> x^2 = 0.0256
=> X = 0.16

The mean proportional between 0.32 and 0.08 is 0.16.

Hope this helps you.

let a and b are two numbers and x be the required mean proportional between a and b .

_______________________________
the mean proportional between two numbers a and b is defined as

x / a = b / x __________________eq.(1)
_______________________________

here we have a = 0.32 , and b = 0.02

put value of 'a' and' b' in eq(1) , we get

x / 0.32 = 0.02 / x

by cross multiplication , we get

x^2 = 0.32 × 0.02

x^2 = 0.0064

x^2 = 0.0064

x^2 = 0.08 × 0.08

x^2 = ( 0.08)^2

x = √(0.08 )^2

x = 0.08

therefore,

mean proportional b/w 0.32 and 0.02

= 0.08
