The average rainfall for all four weeks is 240.85

Step-by-step explanation:

Average = \frac{\text{Sum of all observations}}{\text{No. of observations}}

The mean rainfall in a city in 3 weeks is 242.2cm.

242.2 = \frac{\text{Sum of temperature of 3 weeks}}{3}\\242.2 \times 3 = \text{Sum of temperature of 3 weeks}\\726.6=\text{Sum of temperature of 3 weeks}

We are given that the average rainfall in the next week is 236.8

Sum of temperature of 4 weeks = 236.8+726.6=963.4

Average = \frac{\text{Sum of temperatures of 4 weeks}}{4}\\Average = \frac{963.4}{4}\\Average = 240.85

Hence  the average rainfall for all four weeks is 240.85
