Last month, the global average temperature was 0.53°C warmer than the average June temperatures from 1981 to 2010.
Verkhoyansk in Siberian recorded a whopping 38°C (100° F) on June 20, which is the highest temperature ever in Arctic.
The data suggests that the 12-month period ending June 2020 was 1.3°C warmer than the pre-industrial records.
