Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

let the temperatures from 19th to 22nd  September be x19 , x20, x21 and x22 respectively .

So according to condition 1 : ( x19 + x20 +x21 ) / 3 = 24;

  => x19 + x20 + x21 = 72 ;

 or  x20 + x21 = 72 - x19  - (1)

according to condition 2 : (x20 + x21 +x22 ) /3 = 20 ;

therefore , x20 +x21 +x22 = 60 ; -(2)

Also , x22 = 4/7 * x19 ;     -(3)

putting the value of x22 and equation (1) in (2) ; we get ;

72 -x19 + (4/7)x19 = 60

504 -7x19 + 4x19 = 420

-3x19 = - 84

x19 = 28 .

put x19 in (3) , we get

x22 = 4 * 28 / 7 ;

x22= 16.
