Answers
Given :
- Total number of employees = 100
- Mean wages of all employees = ₹600
- Number of male employees = 60
- Mean wages of male employees = ₹620
To find :
Means wages of female employees
Formula used :
Mean = Sum of all observation ÷ Number of observation
Let :
- Sum of wages of total employees = x
- Sum of wages of male employees = y
- Sum of wages of female employees = z
Solution :
✪ Mean wage of all employees = Sum of wages of all employees ÷ Total number of employees
➜ ₹600 = x ÷ 100
➜ x = ₹600 × 100
➜ x = ₹60000
✪ Mean wages of male employees = Sum of wages of male employees ÷ Number of male employees
➜ ₹620 = y ÷ 60
➜ y = ₹620 × 60
➜ y = ₹37200
✪ We know that , Total number of employees = Number of male employees + Number of female employees
➜ 100 = 60 + (Number of female employees )
➜ Number of female employees = 100 - 60
➜ Number of female employees = 40
✪ Also , total wages = wages of male employees + wages of female employees
➜ x = y + z
➜ ₹60000 = ₹37200 + z
➜ z = ₹60000 - ₹37200
➜ z = ₹22800
✪ Mean wages of female employees = Sum of wages of female employees ÷ Number of female employees
➜ Mean wages of female employees = ₹22800 ÷ 40
➜ Mean wages of female employees = ₹570
ANSWER :
