\boxed{\bold{\large{Answer:}}}

\text{Let\:the\:weight\:of\:the\:6th\:boy\:be\:x}

\text{Sum\:of\:Observations\:=\:51+45+49+46+44+x\:=235+x}

\text{Total\:Observations\:=\:6}

Mean = \frac{Sum \: Of \: Observations}{Number \: Of \: Observations} \\ \\ \implies48 = 235 + \frac{x}{6} \\ \\ \implies235 + x = 6 \times 48 \\ \\ \implies235 + x = 288 \\ \\ \implies \: x = 288 - 235 \\ \\ \implies \: x = 53

\text{Thus,the\:weight\:of\:the\:6th\:boy\:is\:53kg}

\boxed{\bold{\large{Hope\:it\:helps\:you!}}}

Here is your solution

Given :-

Total Observations = 6

Sum of Observations=51+45+49+46+44+x=235+x

Let,

The weight of the 6th boy be x

Mean=Number Of Observations/Sum Of Observations

=>48=(235+x)/6

=>235+x=6×48

=>235+x=288

=>x=288−235

=>x=53

Hence,

The weight of the 6th boy is 53kg.

Hope it helps you
