Given, The mean weight of a class of 35 students is 45. So,

Total weight of 35 students = 45×35 = 1575 kg

Now, weight of teacher is added. So,

Mean weight of 36 persons = 45kg + 500g = 45kg + 0.5 kg = 45.5 kg

Total weight of 36 persons(35 students + 1 teacher ) = 3645.5 = 1638 kg

Thus, Weight of the teacher =  Total weight of 36 Persons - Total weight of 35 students = 1638 - 1575 = 63 kg

Hence, weight of the teacher is 63 kg.
