Let the number of boys be x,

Their mean weight = 70 kg

Let the number of girls be y,

Their mean weight = 55 kg

Mean weight of 150 students is 60 kg.

$60 = \frac{70x + 55y}{150}$

⇒ 70x + 55y = 9000

⇒ 14x + 11y = 1800--- (1)

Also x + y = 150 ---(2)

Solving equation 1and 2

x = 50, y = 100

Number of boys = 50,

Number of boys = 50,Number of girls = 100.
