Flexible constitution :
a constitution that may be amended by the ordinary process of legislation and is therefore relatively easy to amend.
Need : Our founding fathers realized if our government was going to last as long as they hoped it did, it would need to be flexible. One way to make that happen was to add the amendment process. Amendments are changes or additions to a law. In the United States we've had 27 amendments made to the Constitution.
