Horticulture : The Branch of agriculture that deals with the intensive production of vegetables , fruits , medicinal and ornamental plants on a coeecial scale is called horticulture. The term 'Horticulture' is derived from two words Hortus (which mean field) and Cultura (which mean to cultivate) . Horticulture is a multibillion industry in terms of the money it fetches to it's growers.

Some horticultural crops grown in India :

⧠ Fruits : Mango , Grapes , banana , guava , pineapple , cashew and so on.

Vegetables : Potato , tomato , brinjal , spinach , ladies finger , radish , mushroom , beetroot and so on.

Flowers : Rose , Marigold , balsam , gladiolus , chrysanthemum and so on.
