let angles be X and 3x-12.
Therefore, X+(3x-12)=180 (Angles are supplement)
4x-12=180
4x=192
X=192/4
X=48
THE angles are 48 and 132

GIVEN :

=> MEASURE OF AN ANGLE :

=> 12° LESS THAN 3 TIMES ITS SUPPLEMENTARY ANGLE

_______________________________

TO FIND :

=> THE ANGLE

_______________________________

USING THE PRINCIPLE :

=> THE SUM OF MEASURE OF AN ANGLE AND ITS SUPPLEMENTARY ANGLE IS 180°

_______________________________

LET,

=> THE ANGLE BE :

=> X°

_______________________________

=> SUPPLEMENTARY ANGLE OF THIS ANGLE :

=> 180° - X°

_______________________________

ACCORDING TO PRINCIPLE AND GIVEN CONDITION :

=> X = 3 ( 180 - X ) ° - 12°

=> X = 540 - 3X - 12°

=> X + 3X = 540 - 12°

=> 4X ° = 528

=> X = 528 / 4

=> X = 132°
