Given:-

  • Measure of an angle is 40° more than the measure of its complement.

To find:-

  • It's measure.

Solution:-

Let,

  • the required angle be x.
  • the measure of it's complement be 90 - x.

According to the question

→ x - (90 - x) = 40

→ x - 90 + x = 40

→ 2x = 40 + 90 = 130

→ x = 130/2

x = 65°

Hence,

  • it's measure is 65°.
