Answer:

80°

Step-by-step explanation:

The angles are x, x - 20 and x - 40

therefore, Angle (1+2+3) = 180

x + x -20 + x -40= 180

3x - 60 = 180

3x = 240x = 80.

hence measure of x = 80° ....

Hope it helps you❤

Answer :

›»› The value of x is 80°.

Given :

  • The measure of angles of triangle are x°, (x - 20)° and (x - 40)°.

To Find :

  • The value of x.

Solution :

As we know that

The sum of all three angles of triangle is 180°.

→ x + (x - 20) + (x - 40) = 180

→ x + x - 20 + x - 40 = 180

→ 2x - 20 + x - 40 = 180

→ 2x + x - 20 - 40 = 180

→ 3x - 20 - 40 = 180

→ 3x - 60 = 180

→ 3x = 180 - 60

→ 3x = 120

→ x = 120/3

x = 80

Hence, the value of x is 80°.

Verification :

The sum of all three angles of triangle is 180°.

→ x + (x - 20) + (x - 40) = 180

→ 80 + (80 - 20) + (80 - 40) = 180

→ 80 + 60 + (80 - 40) = 180

→ 80 + 60 + 40 = 180

→ 140 + 40 = 180

180 = 180

Here, LHS = RHS

Hence Verified !
