Question :- The measure of the supplement of the angle 162° is ?

Solution :-

supplementary angles :-

  • when sum of two angles is equal to 180° , they are called supplementary angles .

we have to find supplement of the angle 162° .

Let us assume that, the supplement of the angle 162° is x° .

So,

sum of both angles = 180°

→ x° + 162° = 180°

taking 162° RHS side and changing sign,

→ x° = 180° - 162° .

→ x° = 18° . (Ans.)

Therefore, the supplement of the angle 162° is 18° .
