ANSWER

The value of x is 44

EXPLANATION

Given

  • The three angles of a triangle
  • Measure of the angles are x°, ( x - 2 )² and 90°

Need to find

  • The value of the x.

Solution

Here, we are given with the values of all the angles of a triangle. We need to find an unknown "x" of which the two Angles are function of. We can use the angle sum property of triangles to find the unknown "x".

As the sum of all angles of a triangle is 180°, the three angles of the triangle are given, so, they must sum up to 180°

The equation becomes:

⟹ x° + ( x - 2)° + 90° = 180°

⟹ x° + ( x - 2)° = 180°- 90°

⟹ x° + ( x - 2)° = 90°

⟹ x° + x° - 2° = 90°

⟹ 2x° - 2° = 90°

⟹ 2( x + 1 )° = 90°

⟹ x° + 1° = 90°/2

⟹ x° + 1° = 45°

⟹ x° = 45° - 1°

⟹ x° = 44°

⟹ x = 44

The value of x is 44

Given :-

  • Three angles of Triangle are x , ( x - 2 ) , 90.

 \\ \\

To Find :-

  • The Value of x .

 \\ \\

Solution :-

 \\

Angle Sum Property of Triangle = 180°

According to the Question :-

⇒ 1st Angle + 2nd Angle + 3rd Angle = 180

⇒ x + ( x - 2 ) + 90 = 180

⇒ x + ( x - 2 ) = 180 - 90

⇒ x + ( x - 2 ) = 90

⇒ 2 ( x - 1 ) = 90

⇒ x - 1 = 90 ÷ 2

⇒ x - 1 = 45

⇒ x = 45 - 1

⇒ x = 44

Therefore, the value of x is 44
