the measure of two adjacent sides of a rectangle is the ratio 11:10. if the perimeter of the rectangle is 84 cm, then find its length and breadth.(step wise)​

We have,

Ratio of length and breadth = 11:10 (they are the adjacent sides)

Perimeter = 84 cm

We know,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

Let, common between the ratio of ‘l’ and ‘b’ be = k

∴ Length = 11k; breadth = 10k.

A.T.Q.:-

2(11k + 10k) = 84

⇒2(21k) = 84

⇒21k = 42

⇒k = 42/21 = 2.

∴ Length = 11k = 11(2 cm) = 22 cm

Breadth = 10k = 10(2 cm) = 20 cm.
