Answer:

Let the angles be x.

7:8

7x and 8x

the sum of supplementary angles is 180

Now,

7x+8x=180°

15x=180°

x=180°/15

x=12

7x=7×12=84

8x=8×12=96

15x=180°

Given :

The measure of two angles are in the ratio 7:8 and they are supplementary angles.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

To Find :

Find the measure of the angles.

Solution :

~ As we know :

{\color{blue}{\bigstar}} \: \: {\underline{\boxed{\color{red}{\textsf{ Sum of Supplementary angles is 180° . }}}}}

~ Let the Ratios :

➙ 1st angle = 7x

➙ 2nd angle = 8x

\qquad{━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━}

~ Calculating value of X :

{\longmapsto{\qquad{\sf{ ∠1 + ∠2 = 180° }}}} \\ \\ \ {\longmapsto{\qquad{\sf{ 7x + 8x = 180° }}}} \\ \\ \ {\longmapsto{\qquad{\sf{ 15x = 180° }}}} \\ \\ \ {\longmapsto{\qquad{\sf{ x = \cancel\dfrac{180}{15}}}}} \\ \\ \ {\qquad{\textsf{ Value of x = {\color{blue}{\sf{ 12 }}}}}}

\qquad{━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━}

~ Now, the Angles :

{\color{pink}{\leadsto{\underline{\underbrace{\red{\sf{1st \: angle = 7x = 7 \times 12 = 84°  }}}}}}} \\ \\ \

{\color{pink}{\leadsto{\underline{\underbrace{\red{\sf{2nd \: angle = 8x = 8 \times 12 = 96°  }}}}}}} \\ \\ \

\qquad{━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━}

Therefore :

❝ The two angles are 84° and 96° . ❞
