Question -

The measure of two sides of a triangle are 11 and 20 . Between what two measures should the length of the third side fall ? *

Answer -

let the triangle be ABC

Given ,

length of one side AB = 11

length of another side BC = 20

length of third side AC = ?

By Pythagorean theorem :-

=> AC² = AB² + BC²

=> AC² = 11² + 20²

=> AC² = 121 + 400

=> AC² = 521

=> AC =  \sqrt{521}

=> AC = 22.83 ( approx )
