Given :

  • The measure of two supplimentary angle are in the ratio 4:11.

To Find :

  • The measure of the greater angle.

Solution :

We know that,

  • Sum of two supplimentary angles = 180°

Let's Assume,

  • The first angle be 4x
  • The second angle be 11x

According to the Question :

  • Sum of two supplimentary angles = 180°
  • 4x + 11x = 180°
  • 15x = 180
  • x = 180/15
  • x = 12

On comparing both the ratios we get to know that 11x is the greater angle.

Measure of the Greater angle :

  • The greater angle = 11x
  • The greater angle = 11 × 12
  • The greater angle = 132°

Therefore :

  • The greater angle is 132°
