the sum of quadrilateral = 360
x + 3x-40 + 2x + 4x + 20 = 360
10x -20 = 360
10x = 360+20
10x =380
x = 38
first angle = 38
second angle = 74
third angle = 76
fourth angle = 192
x + 3x-40 + 2x + 4x + 20 = 360
10x -20 = 360
10x = 360+20
10x =380
x = 38
first angle = 38
second angle = 74
third angle = 76
fourth angle = 192

Answer :-
- 38°
- 74°
- 76°
- 172°
Given :-
- The angles of a quadrilateral are x, (3x - 40), 2x, (4x + 20)
To Find :-
- Measure of the angles n
Solution :-
As we know that
Sum of all angles of a quadrilateral is 360°
According to question :-
x + (3x - 40) + 2x + (4x + 20) = 360
→ x + 3x - 40 + 2x + 4x + 20 = 360
→ x + 3x + 2x + 4x - 40 + 20 = 360
→ 10x - 20 = 360
→ 10x = 360 + 20
→ 10x = 380
→ x = 38°
Now
Angles are,
- x = 38°
- 3x - 40 = 3(38) - 40 = 74°
- 2x = 2 × 38 = 76°
- 4x + 20 = 4(38) + 20 = 172°
Hence, the angles are 38°, 74°, 76° and 172° respectively.
