Before finding the answer, let's find out on how we can find the answer.

  • First, we must find out the area of four walls of Cuboid room.
  • Then, multiply with the cost and area.

Given :

Dimensions of cuboid:-

  • Length = 15 m
  • Breadth = 10 m
  • Height = 6 m

Cost = Rs. 10

To find :

Total Cost of white washing

Solution :

The formula of area of four walls of a cuboid is this:-

 \tt \: Area \: of \: four \: walls

 \tt \: = 2(Length + Breadth) × Height \: sq.units

Area = 2(15 + 10) × 6

= 2 × 25 × 6

= 300 m²

Cost of white-washing 1 m² = ₹ 10

Hence,

Cost of white-washing 300 m² = 300 × 10 = ₹3000

∴ Cost of white-washing the walls of the room is ₹3000
