Let common angle be a.

Then, x : y = 2a : 3a

According to the problem,

x + y = 90°

=> 2a + 3a = 90°

=> 5a = 90°

=> a = 16°

Thus, x = (2 * 16)°

=> x = 32°

Hence, the value of x is 32°
