Given:

1st angle=140°

2nd angle=(x+40°)

To find:

The value of x=?

Property:

The measures of any 2 vertically opposite angles is always supplementary(180°).

Solution:

140°+(x+40°)=180°

140°+x+40°=180°

x+180°=180°

x=180°-180°

x=0°

140=X+40

140-40=X
