here's ur answer...
let the Length of the rectangle be 7x and breadth be 5x.
given the perimeter of the rectangle = 336m
therefore 2(l+b) = 336m
=> 2(7x+5x) = 336m
=> 2×12x = 336m
=> 12x = 336/2
=> 12x = 168
=> x = 168/12
=> x = 14m
hence, length of the rectangle = 7x
= 7×14
= 98m
breadth of the rectangle = 5x
= 5×14
= 70m
VERIFICATION:-
perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)
= 2(98+70)
= 2×168
= 336m
hence verified
now,
area of the rectangle = l×b
= 98×70
= 6860m²
